This is one of my favorite drawings in my extensive collection. The reference photos for this piece were taken and a Grand Prix Jumper show outside of Cleveland, OH, and at another Grand Prix event in Wellington, FL. I wanted to convey the power and *lift* in these magnificent athletes.

One day I decided to combine the highly detailed effect of my black and white equine art along with a more coloreful/contemporary approach in colored pencil. The designs were intended to fill those tall/rectangular spaces on walls where more standard pictures do not work. I came up with a series of four drawings: Arabian, Friesian, dressage and jumper horse art.
